100% Nebbiolo from the vineyards of Carella, Baraggiola and Valera in the hills near Monte Rosa (second highest in Europe) formed during the interglacial period. Soil is rich in minerals due to significant composition of crush rocks and soil (moraine). Vineyards located at 280 – 310 m asl. After a relatively short period of maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation completed, the wine is then racked into small barrels 9 hl early autumn afterwhich it is refine in bottles for several months before release. 13% Vol.  Dry extract 29.5 g / l. . A light bodied wine, with surprising depth of flavor, offering black cherry, orange peel, tobacco and spice in modest proportions, but persisting nicely on the finish.  The short time spent in oak rounds off the edges beautifully.  Agamium is the Latin name of Ghemme, wine-growing area known in Roman times and earlier in Celtic.
